Bailey Promotes New People's Democratic Party Plan

Judge W M Peck Dies on Train Near Memphis
Denison city attorney Judge W M Peck died Thursday afternoon on a train near Memphis Tennessee while returning from Greencastle Indiana to Denison. He served four years on the Fifteenth District bench and held roles in the Legislature and as Denison mayor and city attorney. His wife Mrs Peck and their son are noted as deceased with a brother also recently dead leaving no known relatives.

Yankee Robinson Grave Decorated By Shows In Jefferson
The Oskaloosa Globe reports Yankee Robinson’s grave at Jefferson where Sells Bros and Ringlings funded a monument in 1890. The showman died nearby after illness on a Northwestern rail journey. Modern show owner Fred Buchanan visited Jefferson and decorated the grave with flowers. A separate fire damaged a truck and its furniture valued around 2,000 dollars.

Delivery Truck and Furniture Burned Friday
A large delivery truck from Hall Furniture Company of Sherman and its furniture load valued at 700 dollars were destroyed by fire about noon last Friday, one and a half miles north of town. The blaze incinerated the truck and contents. The loss was listed as total with no injuries reported.
