Vestal Helps Lead Navy Cadet Training Graduation
Arvin M. Vestal of Whitewright along with 11 Sea Cadet officers led two companies totaling 154 cadets aged 14 to 17 in a 31st Recruit Graduation Review aboard the Recruit Training Command. Cadets from seven states and Puerto Rico completed a two week recruit cycle including drill weapons training and first aid. Two Suspects Arrested in Fannin County Burglaries
Weldon Smith of Whitewright and Robert Slack of Fort Worth were picked up Tuesday afternoon in connection with burglaries in Fannin County. They were arraigned here and taken to the Fannin County Court house in Bonham. Deputies from Fannin and Grayson Counties assisted in the arrest. Justice of the Peace One Kruemm arraigned them.
