Robbers Busy in Denison on Sunday
Police report a string of auto thefts and home robberies in Denison between Saturday and Sunday nights. A touring car stolen from Sherman was recovered in Denison after overturning on a road. A coach seized from Ek Williamson's home near West Main was found damaged north of Sherman. W L Williams home on West Chestnut was broken into and valuables worth over 250 dollars stolen. A spare tire and related parts were taken from a Sherman coupe at First Christian Church. Front car cushions and bulbs were stolen from a vehicle parked near First Baptist Church during Sunday services.

First Solid Express Car of Cotton Seed From Whitewright

Kimbell Milling Company has awarded contracts totaling about 3500 dollars for improvements at its local plant. A large warehouse built last year will get a reinforced concrete floor to convert it into storage for thresh ed oats and ear corn. The 80 by 200 foot building adds about 14,000 square feet of floor space. L LaRoe & Company won the flooring contract and will start Monday.

Baptist Minister slain in Troup streetside shooting
Tyler man Loys Wilson was formally charged with murder in connection with the Monday night fatal shooting of Rev. Fount Wallace, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Troup. Wilson remains jailed after surrendering to the sheriff. no preliminary hearing was set. Wallace, a popular former coach and teacher, was buried in Sturgis, Kentucky, after services in Troup.
