One Killed Two Injured In Whitewright Storm
Oscar Turner aged 58 died when his home was destroyed by a cyclone two others, including his wife Christine Turner, were badly hurt. The storm struck near Whitewright on Thursday at about 2 15 p m damaging four other homes and ending the 24th anniversary of the 1919 cyclone with similar path.

Palace Theatre Destroyed By Fire
The Palace theatre in Whitewright owned by Marshall Hasty was destroyed by fire discovered at 1:30 a.m. The blaze also damaged nearby buildings and stock, with Hasty insuring $4,100 and estimating losses around $6,000 beyond insurance. Mrs. P. J. Pierce held the building insurance at $4,000. Hasty intends to reopen when equipment and materials are available.
