Oral L. Henry 58 former Whitewright and Orangeville resident died in a fire that destroyed his Stamford home Tuesday. His wife was away at a food store when the blaze started. Funeral services will be held in Stamford with burial at Hamlin. Born January 28 1900 in Mansfield Missouri he moved to Orangeville as a boy and was a World War II veteran. Surviving relatives include brother R V Henry and sister Mrs Ernest Tutt both of Mansfield.

Dr Bill Coble Walter Delmarter and Alvin Shackleford lead Bible talks on Race Relations Family and Morality. Children’s activities and a nursery are provided with evening messages concluding by 9 15 p.m. Everyone is invited.
William A. Blakley of Dallas announced his candidacy for the United States Senate in the July Democratic primary. He will seek the junior seat held by Ralph W. Yarborough, who has not decided on a full six year term and may run for governor. Blakley posted a $1125 filing fee with his letter of application to Jim Lindsey. Blakley previously served four months in the Senate as temporary appointee of Gov. Shivers.
Grayson County Livestock Show entries for the Spring event in Van Alstyne April 30 to May 1 must be filed with a vocational agriculture teacher or the county agent by April 18. The show features several special contests, a school-representing award for top points, and divisions open to all exhibitors and juniors.
