A memorial scholarship is being established at Whitewright High School in honor of Jimmy Burchfield a 1963 graduate who died in Vietnam on March 20. The fund will aid a Whitewright graduate annually and celebrate the hard working Dean's list student he embodied. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Barnhart Funeral Home. Surviving relatives include his parents two brothers and three sisters with contributions directed to local supporters.
