Memorial Sunday Service At M E Church

Memorial Sunday services were held at the M E church at 11 o clock with a full edifice. G A B veterans and the W R C were present in force as choirs from Christian and Methodist churches sang. Bid Ballard gave the opening prayer and Ed W I Houston of the Christian church delivered a thoughtful sermon on true citizenship. The church was trimmed in patriotic colors and the day was bright and serene.

First Class Tours To the Pacific Northwest

Double Drowning Tragedy in Gatien River Near New Buffalo

In New Buffalo Michigan on May 24 two young residents Mr George Young twenty four and Mrs Edith Young eighteen were lost in the Gallien river after a boat capsized following a fishing trip near the Pere Marquette bridge. The bodies were recovered by divers with Mrs Young found first at about 10 pm and Mr Young at 10:30 am. Both were respected in the community and no signs of violence were found.
