The citizens of Michigan Coolapring and Springfield townships appeal in a long 256 page brief challenging Bunyan Co contractors over stone road work. Fast Train Crash Near Tollee Indiana On Wabash Rail

A westbound passenger train and an eastbound freight collided head on one mile west of Tollee Indiana on the Wabash line due to a misunderstanding of orders. Engineer Joseph Waters and the freight fireman were among the worst hurt. Several passengers suffered minor injuries. Both crews escaped by jumping as the engines telescoped and freight cars were crushed.

Helen Gerrish of Lowell tore up a deed transferring her uncle Dr A A Gerrishs entire estate valued around 250000 dollars. Dr Gerrish died days later amid worry over money. He was among the region s wealthiest, with estimates ranging from 200000 to 300000 dollars. Six or seven other heirs existed.
