Nfarry Warnke and Herrold Thell have quit school while the Botany class studies plants. Martha Forben boards at home this week and Miss Susie Beahm visits her parents. High School Commencement is planned for the evening of April 21 at the school house.

Lightning Strikes Barns. Nelson Burns Saving Stock
Lightning caused severe damage in the vicinity with a barn on Mr. Nelson’s farm burning to the ground along with six horses. Nelson himself suffered severe burns while attempting to save his stock. A second barn near Hanns also burned from a lightning strike. The Rebekah lodge visited Hanna lodge Friday evening.
