Wa-Keeney World reports a letter defending Wa-Keeney girls after a disputed bout with Hays High. The exchange praises fair treatment, recounts hospitality shown by Hays, and condemns unfounded local criticism. Also noted are a damaging Kansas hail event and three local deaths with funeral details.
Sickness and death surround Mrs Nellie Thrall Wilson and Mr Stephen s family. Nellie Thrall Wilson born Ottumwa Iowa 1861 married Robert C Wilson 1883 in Ottumwa. Four children survive with the daughter and husband present. Funeral held at Presbyterian church with Rev Allison and burial at Wa Keeney Cemetery. Mr Stephen s died 1917 aged 82 with survivors and large funeral at Methodist church. Sincere thanks expressed by Mrs W D Stephens and family. Also an advertisement for Sanol kidney remedy.
