Fine rain last Saturday and a list of neighborhood visits. W. D. Larrabee is on the sick list. Mr Stimuts and wife were county seat visitors. N Larrabee and wife went to Quin ter early week. Several expect to attend the Utica fair. Peter Parks and A O Dwyer were guests of H S Yewell. Leslie Surprise left for home in the eastern part of the state. Rose Biehler, recently at Normal, spent Sunday at home. Mayme Myrma Biehler and Hattie Larrabee visited H Yewell.
Rain and wet fields slow threshing at Voda with R Owen attempting to thresh as 2.5 inches of rain fell over Friday and Saturday. Local folks, hog buyers paying up to 15 cents per pound, and farm incidents including horses and cattle injured by barbed wire and rattlesnakes. Collyer Leghorns defeated Shamrocks 49 to 22 at Veda.
Riverside reports hot windy conditions with good pastures and stock. A rain fell Saturday. A. L. Giffen traded with the Ellis merchants last Saturday. Adam Mosier was transacting business.
