Wa Keeney Kansas ordinance restricts owners from letting horses mules hogs or other animals roam city streets with a $10 fine. It also bans shooting within city limits except by officers on duty under ordinance 37 with a $25 fine. Mayor W J Williams signs the measure.

Destructive cyclone wrecks Cochran ranch in Saline valley
A Sunday afternoon cyclone struck the C. G. Cochran ranch seventeen miles north of Hays Kansas. The storm destroyed two houses two barns two cattle sheds a grove and a windmill while tearing up fifty yards of fencing. Loss estimated at about 10000 left two families homeless. Incredible wreckage included a damaged kitchen cabinet and a crushed galavanized tank carried half a mile, and stock spared despite a collapsed barn. Five boys hid in cellars unharmed.

Honor and Flowers for the Soldiers Memorial Observed
Memorial Sunday and Decoration Day were observed in the city with patriotic exercises despite rain. Comrade A. J. Johnson attended. Rev. Thompson delivered a sermon on seen and unseen influences. A procession to Wa-Keeney cemetery featured G A R rituals and flower ceremonies by boy scouts. State official J. T. Botkin spoke on forgiveness and unity, urging support for the president. A windstorm caused minor damage, injuring Jerry Dorman and bruising Mrs. Dorman, with recovery expected.
