Grinnell merchant sells business and moves away

J F Jones of Grinnell sells all Grinnell holdings except bank stock to D A Borah and E B Beougher. He plans to turn over elevator, investment, and coal business by July 1 and relocate to Wa-Keeney. Price reportedly twenty to twenty five thousand dollars. Jones retains bank stock and a say in Grinnell’s progress.

Highly Entertained Social at Will Walkers

A Friday evening social at Will Walkers drew a jolly rural crowd despite cold weather. Pretty maidens served punch in a decorated parlor while vendors offered ice cream and cake. Music and conversation filled the night as the Ladies of the Improvement Society counted gains and praised the event’s success.
