Big Crowds Attend High Grade Circus Show Tonight

Elephants seals and a black California ostrich captivated attendees while acts by Latey Bros Berre Hicks Morales Dimitri troupe and the Russian Cossacks impressed crowds. Baby tiger cubs and a four-seal cage drew special attention as ponies and various rare animals filled the menagerie.

Cedar merchant marks fortieth year in town

Alleged Mail Pouch Robber Heads to Los Angeles

United States deputy agents sought John J. Rohe alias Anderson and Jacobs for stealing 1500 from a mail pouch at Ellis Kansas. Rohe, arrested at the King Edward hotel in Topeka, admitted on duty the night of the pouch loss but offered no confession despite evidence a woman at Ellis had identified him.

Obituary for Neff of Trego County Illinois

The death of Neff, born June 17, 1893 in Vermillion county Illinois, is announced. He moved with his parents to Trego county as a child and lived there most of his life. He died at 17 after pneumonia and heart trouble, leaving parents and five brothers Walter Charles Osborne George Ernest and a sister Florence. Funeral services were at the M E church and burial followed in Wa-Keeney cemetery.
