Thirty-Second Annual County Sunday School Convention
The Thirty-Second Annual County Sunday School Convention of WaXexency Presbytery will meet Friday June 10, 1921. Morning includes Musico Mrs Fritts, philosophies, ministers conference, and reports from the State Convention. afternoon features committees, talks by Mrs Tiane Sewell, and various sessions led by county workers. Evening program opens with music by Mrs Dillingwer, devotional by Rev Mam, and addresses by Mrs Teane Sewell, followed by closing notes.

Visit Brings War Buddies Together in Kansas
Jack Gordon visited City Clerk Roy S. Robbins in Little River, Kansas, after leaving Ogallah where he managed a general merchandise store. The former World War I comrades slept, fought, and lived beside one another in Meuse Argonne, where Gordon was wounded in the right arm while Robbins survived unhurt. Their reunion marked the first time since the war’s end they had met, a happy meeting recalled by the Russell Record.

Francis Eugene Eaton 70, born Cleveland Ohio June 10 1851 died May 25 1921 at his home on a Saline River homestead in Trego County Kansas He moved from Pau Pau Illinois to California before returning to Kansas He married Sarah Samuels May 29 1881 in Ellis Kansas They had seven children Edna Olive Lexie Lois Vir il and Byron Eaton plus Frank Eaton’s wife and grandchildren The funeral was May 27 1921 at Mt Pleasant Church conducted by Rev T J Nixon and Rev Thomas Burial followed at Ellis The surviving family includes Mrs Eaton seven children and eighteen grandchildren The writer Rev T J Nixon offers sympathy

Flooding streets and ponds followed a severe hailstorm east and west of WaKeeney with stones up to baseball size. Estimated crop losses approach fifty percent though insurance is scarce. Nearby events include Farm Folks play benefiting the Baptist building fund and Karl Simpson's Comedians drawing crowds despite weather. Sunday services announced for June 5 with "I shall be satisfied" as sermon.

Memorial Exercises At Collyer Stationed In Remembrance
Memorial sermon by Rev Williams at the Capera house on Sunday drew an appreciative audience from neighboring towns for Decoration morning. A procession led by The American Legion and Wakeeney band marched to the cemetery for the standard services, then a two o'clock program at the opera house concluded with Prof. Schuman of Hays Normal as speaker and notable band music. Local items note trips, bungalow completion, Union Pacific safety show, and May rainfall totaling 1.96 inches with May through five months up to 6.20 inches year to date.
