Grace Yanda ten year old daughter of Mr and Mrs James Yanda was struck by a snake while going to the field to tend a harvest task and died early Friday morning. The poison halted circulation before help arrived. she fled toward the house but collapsed soon after. Eight nurses and mules are mentioned in the stained text.
A fire destroyed Wheat Stacks Buren as train No 163 is blamed. The city fire department and many volunteers responded, using autos after a general alarm sounded as south winds fanned flames. Authorities say ten good residences could be rented in Wa Keeney, encouraging new building if funds permit.
A 64 year old Missouri man, Benjam in Perry Wilkinson of Allendale, died of heart trouble while in a header barge with two coworkers near Wa Keeney Kansas. He had joined harvest workers after arriving July 14. death occurred July 19. Funeral arrangements to Albany Missouri.
