The Kansas City Stock Yards report shows strong cattle demand with prices up to 9.70 for prime steers, yearling heifers at 99.60, and high native prices between 8.50 and 9.50. Receipts totaled 800 head, with 11 000 yesterday, marking a record high. Hog supplies were disappointing. top hog price reached 23.4, with bulk 5.70 to 8.85. Sheep and lambs weakened, Idaho lambs sold at 9, with plenty of notes on market conditions and future demand for young cattle.
