Death of Mrs Hanna Funeral in Salina for Mrs Margaret Phillips Hanna
Mrs Margaret Phillips Hanna died in Washington last Tuesday. Her funeral was held Sunday at 2:30 from the Presbyterian church in Salina with Rev F C McKean preaching and a quartet providing music. She was born in Paisley Scotland on November 7 1826 and came to America in 1839. The family included Captain Hanna who helped found the Salina Herald in 1867. Interment followed at Gypsum Hill cemetery with pallbearers J W Burke B F Bean C Eberhardt W C Addison Thomas Anderson and E W Ober.

Fatal accident claims child of Mrs. Spena in Wa-Keeney
The five year old son of Mrs. Jas Spena died after his arm was caught in a corn sheller. He sustained three arm fractures and internal injuries, was treated by Drs. Jones and Herrick, and died Thursday morning. Friends extend sympathy to Mrs. Spena.
