George Stanton married July 24 at the bride’s parents home Edith Lucille George daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. George to Walter Raleigh Stanton son of Mr. and Mrs. Gaylord M. Miss Velma Alice Stephens and Arthur Olson wed at 5 30 PM yesterday in a quiet home ceremony attended by family. Rev Raimundo de Ovies officiated with Olive Scott singing. The couple will reside at 3016 Avenue R after a trip along the western coast. Olson, captain of the dredge Edwin R Kimble, has long lived in Galveston.
Miss Grace Robords a WaKeeney teacher marries Albert H Acre of WaKeeney on Monday August 1 in Mound Valley Kansas. The couple plans a home in WaKeeney in a bungalow built this summer and friends extend best wishes for their life together.
The WaKeeney Chautauqua 1921 concludes with a white and black face minister act at the tent this evening. Overall the season is praised as better than average with engaging performances, though contracts from talent providers are viewed as burdensome and unsatisfactory.
Dr M J Brown of Salina, eye ear nose throat specialist, will attend Penny Hotel or Dr Burnett's office on Monday August 22 and in Ellis on August 23 for examinations and fittings.

Ernest Mensing died at his Wade area farm when his tractor tipped over near a bank edge. The incident occurred while he plowed, with a laborer nearby. His body was recovered after hours, and funeral plans were under consideration for Saturday morning August 6 with details to follow next week.

Miss Bertha Tilton left Tuesday morning to spend the remainder of the week with her sister Mrs J C Sparks of Hill City Kansas. L E Steigelman returned from as of his grandson Luther Riddle, Franklin Knox of Detroit Kansas accompanied him home for an extended visit.
