Public speaker cites US share of world resources

A speaker noted the United States, with 6 percent of the population, produces large shares of global resources including 60 percent copper 40 percent lead zinc aluminum 66 percent oil 75 percent cotton 52 percent coal iron and steel 30 percent gold 25 percent automobiles 25 percent wheat and refinines 80 percent copper while operating 40 percent of the world’s railroads. Health officers warn on cess pool pumpouts in city limits

Complaints reach the health officer about cess pools being pumped onto lawns within the city. The state law will be strictly enforced. W. Herrick, County Health Officer, and Guy M. Jones, a local veteran, have returned from service with his discharge noted at Portsmouth on St Patrick's Day. Mrs Jones and their baby await his return to Wa-Keeney in about a week or ten days. Bud served mostly along the eastern coast and in Cuba.
