Fatal Accident to Bridge Foreman On New Columbia Span
W R Paris foreman for Gerrick and Gerrick was struck by a swinging cable on the new Columbia bridge approach and fell 23 feet to the ground. He lay unconscious beside the railway tracks as workmen and Inspector Preston rushed to aid him before he was taken to McCoy's hospital. Paris, about 45, married with wife in Kansas City, was in precarious condition by noon and may die.
