Spencer Boyd Dies in Chelan Leader and Pioneer Passes
Former Chelan county commissioner Spencer Boyd died at 65 after a sudden illness. He moved to Chelan 16 years ago from Iowa and is survived by his wife and four children. Funeral services will be held at his home tomorrow at 10 o clock conducted by Rev Hoskins from the Methodist church.

Chelan County Plans $30,000 Bridge Program
Chelan county will spend about $30,000 this year on new bridges. Commissioners awarded contracts for two remaining 1920s era bridges across Nason creek and Wenatchee river at Peshastin costing $5,500 combined. Leavenworth will build a Wenatchee river bridge to connect Cascade Gardens at $6,000. A Monitor Wenatchee River bridge is projected at about $7,000, with $4,000 for a bridge near Chapman's ranch above Monitor.

A H Smith Narrow Escape From Mare Kick
