Wreck of Oriental Limited Injures Seventeen
Sixteen teens and others were injured when the eastbound Oriental Limited plunged nine cars down a twenty foot embankment west of Palermo on the Great Northern line. A broken rail caused the crash. Had to Shoot Valuable Horse At Eagle Transfer Stables

Pioneer fruit man David R. McGinnis notes that irrigated lands in Washington Oregon and Idaho yield profits far above typical crops. Yakima valley and Columbia river orchards fetch three to five times higher prices, with net profits of 150 to 2200 per acre in a year.
