Irrigation Ditch Begins Near Brewster Promising Acreage Water

Work on the Brewster irrigation ditch started a week ago under L P Horton with six men. Water from Whitestone Lake seven miles away will reach about 1500 acres by May first. The project plans a 60 foot dam expanding the lake to 240 acres and aims to serve land on Brewster town flats and river lowlands while not affecting the Brewster flat high line scheme.

In Philadelphia a divinity student named Jones Pollock killed his father to shield his mother. Arthur Gunn Wins 45 Year Wenatchee Electric Franchise

Wenatchee city council on Tuesday night granted Arthur Gunn of Wenatchee Electric Company a 45 year franchise expiring in 1950.
