Peanut Festival peanut cooking contest winners announced
At the 2002 Peanut Festival the peanut cooking contest drew four adults and a youth. Samantha Sanderson won the Youth Grand Champion with a blue ribbon and purple rosette. In the Adult Division Bill Hatch took candies first, Onie Beck second, Jackie Johnson third, Mary Fulcher won pies first, with Best of Show going to Fulcher and Hatch earning Best of Division. Judges were Dark Green, Priscilla Sullivan, and Joannah Gartin. a meal certificate was given to the judges. The event was run by co-chair Priscilla Green.
