Texas crop production forecast for 2003
The October 2003 Texas crop forecast shows declines from September for cotton, corn, sorghum, peanuts and soybeans. Upland cotton is projected at 4.0 million bales, corn 178 million bushels, peanuts 792 million pounds, sorghum 75.7 million cwt, and soybeans 4.68 million bushels. U.S. totals rise slightly for corn and sorghum while cotton and peanuts drop.
