Dr and Mrs W. W. Jones left Saturday afternoon for San Antonio to attend the State Medical Association meeting from Monday through Wednesday. They plan to return to Wellington later this week.

Mary Lee Davis of Kelton visited her parents and teaches at Kelton School. Jack Griswold of Plainview stayed with his sister C R Brown. Rev Bonar and family from Lefors visited Liston Cates. Bud Gale spent weekend with Gary and family in Ransdell. Frances King remains on the sick list. The King daughter is ill. J L Gill and wife visited Raymond Darrow family in Twitty.

Samnorwood Notes Highlight Rain and Community Events

A good rain in Samnorwood benefits wheat and gardens while sudan grows. Richard Gambrell preached at the Baptist Church, his first Sumnerwood sermon. A 10 night singing school runs at the high school gym with large crowds. County Agricultural Association met at the Baptist Church, several joined. Local visits include Leroy Thompson family from Mangum and others. An all day quilting hosted by Mrs. Tom Cunningham drew many, with shared dishes. Several teachers and locals attended events in Oklahoma City and Wellington. Transfers and visits tied to local families fill weekly life.
