Life-like plaster replica honors Panhandle cowboy Fred Scott
A plaster statue at the Panhandle Plains Historical Society Museum portrays Fred Scott, longtime employee of Col. Charles Goodnight. Donated boots and clothing reflect 1880s Panhandle attire, with Scott posing for a near perfect likeness. Scott, who arrived in the plains in 1881, helped drive cattle and aided Swisher County's organization.
