Public Stream Use Sept 1 Deadline to Claim Water Rights

The Texas Water Rights Commission announced a Sept 1 1981 deadline to record claims under Water Rights for certified filings or permits. Domestic and livestock users are exempt. Valid claims cover maximum annual use without waste from 1983 to 1967, with partial recognition for ongoing construction or larger pre Act facilities for 1968 to 1970.

Mrs Jack Lowry Undergoes Hernia Surgery in Arlington Memorial

Mrs Jack Lowry a Sumnerwood Schools teacher underwent surgery at Arlington Memorial Hospital June 20 to repair an esophageal hernia. Her sister reports the condition is good and she expects about three weeks of recovery before returning home. She is in Room 306 with family present including her children and siblings.
