Greatrace to stop in Clarendon on June 29
The Interstate Batteries Great American Race plans a 15 minute pit stop Monday June 29 at 4 25 p m at the Donley County Courthouse in Clarendon. The 4475 mile coast to coast rally spans nine states and 48 cities with a 250000 purse and stops in Amarillo and other Texas towns.

Wellington students attend 30th annual FFA Electric Workshop
Four Wellington High School students Luke Kane Kevin Freeley Nathan Norman and Jesus Lopez joined 73 other FFA members at the 30th FFA Electric Workshop in Amarillo sponsored by Southwestern Public Service. The three day event June 8 10 featured demonstrations videos and lectures on wiring farm buildings electric controls and safety.

AARP 55 Alive Driving Course Offered in Shamrock
Shamrock Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a two day AARP 55 Alive defensive driving course on June 29 30 in the City Annex building at 114 West 2nd Street. The class runs 1 to 5 p.m. for those 50 and older, with an $8 fee and a 10 percent insurance discount for three years for graduates.
