Wellington area performers prepare for the Bluegrass and Peanut Festival weekend. The downtown museum will host acts on Saturday August 22 including Pioneer Singers Clarendon gospel singer Ann Harper guitarists Joe Guajardo Dustin McKinney with drummer Bradley Southerland and vocalists Sonya Bouldin Stoney Blades Donna Coleman and Karen Hale. King Bowen may join on piano if possible. Debra Belew notes a Community Stage Band may appear with director Mr H. Indictments Target Burglary Assaults and Firearms in 100th District
Collingsworth County Grand Jury met June 15 1992 indicting nine cases in Wellington. Defendants include Gary Charles Brown Antonio Garcia Juan Benavidez and Michael Ray Mackey along with four forgery by passing indictments for Rhoda Meadows Kerry L Shippee and Ambros Farias. Pretrial hearing held in The State of Texas vs Danny Romo with trial for indecency with a child tentatively set for July.
