Little Doris June Bayles a five year old prodigy will perform at the Ritz Theatre in Wellington. Manager Bonner says she is a precocious soloist with exceptional enunciation and dance routines including Adagio classics. The Fourteenth Annual Convention of the Business and Professional Women's Clubs met in San Angelo from June 8 to 11 with sessions lunch eons and entertainment. Ray Reynolds a rural mail carrier in Georgetown New York has worn out 15 automobiles and nine horses in 28 years of service. Mr and Mrs J G Nesbitt hosted a forty two tournament at their Dodsonville home on Friday evening to raise funds for baseball equipment. Six Months Good Time For Kansas Convicts

Governor Alf M. Landon announced a six month good time allowance for about 1,000 convicts who did not participate in a Memorial Day break at Kanean penitentiary. He cited discipline and equipment issues after eleven escapes that killed a warden and two guards. Warden Jensen and new warden Lacey Simpson pledged stricter security measures to prevent escapes.

Mother Is Graduate Mrs. Max Touchon at 83

Mrs. Max Touchon of Littlefield is among 42 graduates of Littlefield high school this year. The 83 year old mother of six children aged two to nine accompanied Natalia 9 and Max Emile Jr 7 to school daily to complete credits she was lacking when she left Clovis New Mexico high school in 1920 to begin teaching. She does housework and is active in club and church work.

Long Distance Walker Dan O Leary Dies in California

Dan O Leary a 92 year old long distance walker died in a Los Angeles hotel after a lifetime of 100 mile birthdays and foot journeys to most state capitals. He outlived his son and left daughters and grandchildren. Funeral plans were pending word from relatives.
