Murder Charge Filed After Stabbing Death in St Joseph County
William Bowen Jr. died at St Joseph's Hospital from stab wounds suffered at his home in the Flats. His wife Bernice Jefferson Bowen, 36, was arraigned on a malice murder charge, waived exam, and posted $2,500 bond before being released. The weapon remains missing. Bowen once worked as a professional boxer. Deputy Heaton and Police Chief Nunnelley assisted.

Grasshopper Control Meeting Planned in County
