Coleman announces candidacy for Collingsworth Constable

Lt Col Ret Dudley Coleman declares he will run for Constable and outlines the office's origins in the 1857 Texas Constitution. He notes that Colingsworth County previously had four constables and four Justices of the Peace, and that a 1990 county redistricting plan reduced posts with Justice Department approval. The absence of a constable has shifted duties to the sheriff, and lawmakers are urged to eliminate further posts.
