Christmas Blessing Fund Organized
A Christmas Blessing Fund has been organized for Wellington and Collingsworth County to aid underprivileged families this holiday season. Donors may contribute to an account at Wellington State Bank, with Judy Forrester handling donations and O L Cooper serving as treasurer. The fund, modeled on Amarillo's Empty Stocking Fund, already has two hundred fifty dollars. Applications for help are available at The Wellington Leader, the County Judge's office, the Community Action Center, and local churches. A screening committee from state and local agencies and civic groups will decide disbursements. The Wellington Leader and the bank will help with collections but not with decisions.
