Peanut field day set for August 21 in Collingsworth County
The annual Collingsworth County peanut tour will be Tuesday August 21 starting at 2 p.m. at the Quail Community Center. Due to new disease issues, the group will not enter fields. experts from the Texas Agricultural Extension Service will discuss weed and disease control harvesting irrigation and varieties while ag consultants and industry reps attend. A catered meal sponsored by regional peanut firms will follow at 6:30 p.m. at Pioneer Park north of Wellington.
