New Church Riitice Edifice Planned for North Second Street

The Christian church trustees, who recently purchased a lot near Dr. Shirley’s residence on North Second street, plan to immediately erect a handsome new church costing about 1200. The 26 by 46 structure will be well appointed per adopted plans.

H. A Lee, state Sunday School organizer, returned from a summer trip across Idaho and found residents generally in good condition except in Duck Valley near Owyhee County where snow water irrigation failed, leaving settlers unable to cut hay and facing a discouraging winter outlook.

Wid Trip Through Idaho Mountains Ends In Great Prospecting

B F Goldman, Lloyd Coulter, Enoch Doty and Stone Doty completed a six week trek from Thunder Mountain to the Salmon River region. They carved a new trail through Chamberlain Creek and down to the river, crossing on a raft and lifting burros 116 feet at a ledge. They report abundant game including 19 elk in one herd and describe the area as the greatest game country in North America.

A large Weiser gathering marked the completion of a wagon road linking Council with Long Valley.
