Members of the State Press Association report a highly enjoyable season after a pleasant gathering highlighted by cordial discussions, shared meals, and plans for future journalism events. Agents of the association celebrate camaraderie and professional交流.
The Idaho Press Association held its first annual convention in Weiser on a Friday. Hon. Thomas Galloway greeted guests and praised journalism while officers for the coming year were elected. A banquet followed with toasts on journalism and the press as a public trusted institution.
Monday the ASK Consolidation Extension Ditch Company announced decisive measures to advance irrigation upgrades. Directors cited mounting water rights pressure and reduced delivery times as key goals for the community. Local residents and farmers expressed cautious optimism about improved reliability and future seedings.
At the Payette County annual meeting held in the courthouse 70 of 131 shares were represented. Directors Peter Pence A Brockman Thoma Kimbrough Albert Jackson and George Nesbitt were elected.
