Northwest railroad sold to satisfy debts at Baker City

The Northwest railroad, extending from Huntington to Lewiston via the Snake river, was sold by master in chancery Wallace McCamant on court order. Only bid came from Louis Rosenweig for 35000 dollars, on a line with about 12 miles graded and several engines. The sale includes the right of way and two ranches, with about 150000 dollars spent to date. the Tron Dyke copper mine is tied to the railroad project but largely unviable without completion.
