Wm Brammer and family, recent arrivals from Hanover, Germany, recount years in Transvaal as railway fireman and prisoner of war. he argues England will be expelled from South Africa and credits Boer franchise resistance and native sympathy, while praising Dewet and Botha and notingCape Colony Boers may join the fight.
The Weiser district court hears the Stuart vs Holter and Hauser case over the 7 16ths interests in Peacock South Peacock Helena White Monument and De Corral mines. Testimony spans seven days with value claimed at one million dollars. Reports claim possible schemes to fleece Lewis A Hall, but Hall's representatives say the matter is wild and unsubstantial.
The Idaho Free Press details a fatal incident at Whitebird on November 6 where Burne and his wife, residents of Boise’s Tenderloin district, quarrelled in a saloon. The man likely left to fetch a gun, returned, shot his wife in the neck, then killed himself. No inquest will be held.
