Cyanide tests boost Big Creek ore prospects at Pendence mine
J B Kidredge, manager of the Pendence mine, reports ores from Big Creek properties responsive to cyanide treatment. A small cyanide plant at Eldredge's city home processes 300 pounds of ore, showing rapid gold and silver recovery with a compressed air system. The Boise Statesman notes the method could reduce costs and extend ore reach, while a separate Idaho political convention proceeds with delegates arriving, committees named, and Hearst favored for president.

Snow Rapidly Going in Big Creek Camp
A letter received at Lewiston by O. Clark of the Success Mining company says snow in Big Creek camp is melting fast, with a week likely to clear the trail to the camp. About two feet remain in camp while southern hillsides have vanished. Pack horses reached Big Creek toward Werdenhoff mine, opening the country to travel soon. Clark left Big Creek May 11 when four feet covered the ground. Inquire of Mrs B M Westervelt about a three room house near the courthouse.
