Pittsburg March 14 grand jury returned true bills against Mrs Catherine Soffel wife of ex Warden Peter K Soffel in three cases arising from the Biddle brothers jail escape on January 30 The charges include aiding criminals to escape and felonious assault and battery on guards Reynolds McGary The maximum penalty if convicted on all counts would be 16 years in prison and a 2500 fine Reynolds was shot and McGary was seriously hurt during the escape incident.
