Berkell entertainer led Thursday town outing to small audience

A Berkell high class entertainer visited town on Thursday, performing for about a dozen people. Little Bertha Kroder of Highland received a gold ring for perfect school attendance, and a Troy Mite Society meeting is planned for March 18 at 2 PM.

Death of Mrs Lewisa Schwalm at 28 in St Louis

Died at her home in St Louis on March 8 after long illness with consumption. Lewisa Schwalm, wife of Henry Schwalm Jr, aged 28, mother of one child, leaves a grieving husband, two sisters, one brother, and many friends. Funeral held March 10 from J W Garnet residence to Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rev Louis Dorneeif officiating. Pallbearers named. Burial at Lutheran Cemetery.
