In Cleveland on April 18 John D. Rockefeller donated 22000 to liquidate part of a 68000 debt owed by the local YMCA. Three other Clevelanders Samuel Mather S T Wellman and J H Severance added the remaining 46000. The YMCA reports 114000 received that year and now stands debt free.
