Hydro linemen are in Chetwynd with the Dawson Creek line as the current priority. January targets aim to load power on that line while Chetwynd plant additions should finish by March. A spur track for two mobile units is not finalized, and unit movement by truck would be costly.
Hart Highway work west of Chetwynd winds down as crews reduce and truckers are laid off. Some crews move north to Fort Nelson while Pine River realignment proceeds. Roads in the district remain good and the Willow Flats housing project will house Westcoast Transmission staff before Marwell Construction completes the new plant.
