No Nominations For Commissioners in Peace River Village
Two village commission seats are open with a Monday deadline for nominations. Commissioners John Martens and George Corrigal will not both seek re election as terms expire in December. Local officials report reluctance to run across Peace River communities and Ft. St. John has just enough nominees to fill vacancies. The Chamber of Commerce sought candidates without success and long time volunteers are too busy to continue. Nominations must reach the Village Clerk before noon on Monday November 30.

Tree Clearing Machine Trial At Portage Reservoir
