Car School Bus Collision Injures Three Near Windrem School

A rear end crash on the Hart Highway west of Chetwynd injured three men when a 1953 Buick struck a school bus owned by School District 59 as it stopped to pick up Windrem School students. Gerry Young of 100 Mile House sustained serious injuries. others were taken to hospital for observation. RCMP investigate cause.

Job's Daughters Bethel hosts initiation in Chetwynd

Fraternal Club welcomed Bethel 44 of Dawson Creek for initiation ceremonies in the Legion Hall. Sharon Drew and Valerie Smith were welcomed as new candidates with 72 attendees including parents and Masonic-affiliated guests. Honoured Queen Cheri Olsen presided with officers Andrea Fleming Sharon Sundberg Judy Reasbeck and others in attendance.

M L A To Open Rodeo In Chetwynd

McLea Stan Carnell will officially open the first Chetwynd Rodeo at 2 pm tomorrow at the new Exhibition Grounds east end. The event, sponsored by the Chetwynd Rope and Saddle Club, features 2000 grandstand seats, corrals and chutes, concessions, and camping space for two days of calf roping and riding with plans for an annual event.
