Pine River straightening and Hart Highway relocation bid call
Tender for straightening Pine River and moving about 15 miles of Hart Highway west of Chetwynd was issued with bids due and opened yesterday. The project aims to reduce erosion along river bends that threaten the clay banked highway and allow relocation into a bottom lead away from side hills for a stable paving road.

Power units to North for Peace Power project work
Three power units from Quesnel will be sent north with two installed at Chetwynd and the third at Dawson Creek. One mobile unit may be spotted at Chetwynd as construction for the Peace Power project begins. Test holes are drilled for foundations and a high voltage line from Dawson Creek to Chetwynd starts immediately.
