Report reaches Webster City of Phil Rouillard family losing their household goods in a fire in Oklahoma City with no insurance. Rouillard already endured several prior losses to fire including three Webster City businesses, plus a Webster City store and homes in Ackley and Eldora.
Mrs G W Cooper buys Miss Eva Cooper's interest and runs the millinery parlors at the same Blairsburg location She has secured Miss Poe as trimmer from the St Paul wholesale house She will return March 20 to display a complete and best selected stock of millinery ever seen in Blairsburg.
W 8 Rice bought the John Jacobson place southeast of Jewell, a 9820 acre farm with large buildings and strong value, at 25600 dollars. Rice and family plan to return to Town soon, with Jens Clausen and Chris Miller also expected back. The correspondent notes Rices left Oklahoma for a cooler climate suited, thrifty and industrious.
Herman Rutlege suffered a severe shotgun injury to his right foot while hunting on the Alexander Groves farm south of Kamrar. The 10 gauge gun discharged while resting on his foot, mangling two toes and necessitating medical treatment by Dr. Chatterton of Kamvar.
H I Thompson injured when his left leg near the ankle was broken after a horse slipped in mud and fell in the alley behind his First street home. He held the horse by the bit to avoid being dragged, was attended by Dr. Eberle and is resting as well as can be expected.
Young Campbell son of W. Campbell of the northeast area returns home after a shooting incident in the Ames yard. He alleges hazing led to the accidental discharge of a revolver owned to deter aggressors. A friend was wounded in the shoulder. all parties deny intent and no prosecution is planned.

Recipients gain communion and church membership though voting rights await age. Fort Dodge reports indicate Clarion seeks to become a railroad division point for the Great Western. Citizens have donated eighty acres for yards and terminals and the company reportedly bought twenty five more acres, totaling 106 acres. Officials would not confirm land grants or specific plans but routes show favorable consideration for Clarion as a starting point over Fort Dodge on the Sioux City line.
