Des Moines March 10 The house committee on appropriations after a three hour session recommended passage of the omnibus bill containing board of control appropriations. They cut total requests by 38 100 and set a 731 577 50 extraordinary appropriation plus added 8 000 for hospital rooms at Marshalltown Soldiers Home. Several land purchases and hospital needs detailed. Senate action pending.
Jasper representative Hawk introduced a house resolution to place Iowa educational institutions under one management with uniform support. The plan aims for efficiency and coordinated funding under a single policy and board of control.
